PASTA BAKES

Ingredients

  • 1 Box of Pasta (~16 ounces)

    • Recommendations: Penne, Rigatoni, etc.

  • 1 Jar of Pasta Sauce (~24 ounces)

  • 1 Bag of Shredded Cheese (8 ounces)

    • Recommendations: Mozzarella, Italian Blend, etc.

  • 1 9x13” Foil Pan (or equivalent disposable container)

  • Aluminum Foil

  • Optional: 16 ounces ground beef or sausage (for meat sauce)

  • Optional: Italian seasonings (oregano, basil, thyme, garlic powder, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Optional: if making meat sauce pasta bake, brown beef/sausage and cook completely.

  2. Cook pasta according to box instructions. Drain water.

  3. In a large bowl or in the foil pan directly, mix the entire jar of sauce, entire portion of cooked pasta, and browned meat if making a meat pasta bake.

  4. Optional: mix a handful of shredded cheese into the pasta/sauce/meat mixture.

  5. Spread out the pasta mixture in foil pan. Cover with remainder of shredded cheese.

  6. Optional: sprinkle additional seasonings over top of cheese if desired.

  7. Allow pasta bake to cool to room temperature, then cover with aluminum foil. Place in freezer for at least 3 hours.

  8. Pasta bake is ready for donation!
